Magnesium carbonate is a binding agent for phosphates such as calcium carbonate, aluminum carbonate, lanthanum carbonate and others. Phosphate binders convert their anion to phosphorus and become phosphates in the digestive tract, which are excreted in the feces. Comparing the yield of phosphate binder and for comparison, take as an indicator 1 g of CaCO3 or if it is said that the yield of 1 g of CaCO3 is equal to unity (= 1), then we can say that: Lanthanum carbonate has a yield of 2.9. Sevelamer hydrochloride has a 0.6; MgCO3 has 1.3? Calcium Acetate 1,2; Aluminum hydroxide has 1.5. 1 gr of powder for 5 kg of BW, 2 times a day (with food).
